Miami University will hold a lecture on forests responding to wildfires and climate change at 7 p.m. April 9 at Pearson Hall. The event is expected to last one hour and is followed by a reception.
The title of the lecture is “Return of the Pyrocene: Wildfires in Your Backyard!” Andrew Barton will present his research on the topic. Barton is a biology professor at the University of Maine at Farmington.
The event is free to attend and open to the public. The Hefner Museum will live stream the discussion on its YouTube channel.
