Talawanda High School is accepting applications for its next secondary job coach, an educational assistant for students with disabilities, for the 2025-2025 school year.
According to Scott Davie, Talawanda High School principal, a job coach enhances students’ real-world skills, teaches workplace standards and facilitates the shift from a school environment to a work environment.
The position collaborates with the transition coordinator, intervention specialists and Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams to prepare for students’ future careers. A job coach primarily assists high school students, but occasionally handles matters at the middle school.
Applicants must have at least two years of college or pass the state paraprofessional assessment. For more information about the role, contact Principal Davie at [email protected].
