
Oxford Police responded to reports of a fight, drunk driving and underage drinking in the week of Feb. 25-March 2.
On Feb. 25, a fight broke out between three men at Oxford Spirits. Police arrested two of the men for assault after the incident. Police will cite the third man for disorderly conduct once they make contact with him.
On March 1, police spotted a car stuck on railroad tracks. Police found the driver to be underage and intoxicated. Police arrested the woman for OVI and underage drinking. At the police station, the woman did not want to provide a urine sample and became belligerent. She assaulted three officers and police cited her for two counts of assault.
On March 2, police responded to reports of a woman drunk driving in the parking lot of McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital. After police gave her a field sobriety test, she was arrested and cited for OVI, underage drinking and possession of a fake ID.
This week, police conducted bar checks around Oxford. Police cited four individuals at The Woods, CJ’s Bar, Bar 1868 and Brick Street for underage drinking and possession of a fake ID.
On Feb. 27, Police responded to reports of a highly intoxicated man lying on the sidewalk outside Brick Street. Police cited him for underage drinking and possession of a fake ID.
On March 1, Police responded to reports of a highly intoxicated man outside Skyline Chili. Oxford Fire evaluated the man shortly after, and police cited him for underage drinking and possession of a fake ID.
On March 2, a Brick Street employee called police on a woman passed out and vomiting in the bathroom. EMS took her to McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital, and police cited her for underage drinking and disorderly conduct.
