The 2025 Cradle of Coaches induction ceremony celebrated and recognized the career of five Miami coaches Feb. 21.
Sean Payton served as Miami’s offensive coordinator from 1994 to 1995. He transitioned to the NFL after his time at Miami. Payton served as an assistant with the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, and Dallas Cowboys during his career. He also was a head coach for the New Orleans Saints for 15 years and won a Super Bowl in 2006. He is currently the head coach of the Denver Broncos.
Carolyn Condit was the Miami volleyball coach for 40 years starting in 1984. She amassed 781 wins throughout her time as head coach. Condit collected more career wins than any coach in Miami athletics history.
Vicki Korn coached synchronized skating at Miami for 25 years until 2009. Her teams won 15 national championships with 14 of those at the varsity level. Korn passed away in 2020 and was inducted into the U.S Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 2022.
Iñako Puzo is the current head coach of the Miami Field Hockey Team after 14 years. During his career, he holds a 171-124 career record. He led the team to 10 regular season championships, 10 NCAA Tournament Appearances and won MAC Coach of the Year five times.
Wendy Sweney coached tennis at Miami. During her career, she won five Mid-American Conference titles from 1985-1989. She was the MAC Coach of the Year in 1988 and also won 29 MAC Championships between both singles and doubles.
