Oxford Lane Library is more than its book collection and programs; it’s also home to the Smith Library of Regional History.
Smith Library offers numerous historical resources and documents for Oxford such as birth records, obituaries, yearbooks and more. It also has an archive which preserves items such as artifacts, newspapers, family photos and paintings, all donated by the community.
The collection started with materials provided by William E. Smith’s family in 1981, but has grown over the years from community contributions.
