The Oxford United Methodist Church will host a community dinner at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church at 5:30 p.m. on March 5.
The dinner is open to the public and aims to create a sense of community while addressing food insecurity for Oxford residents.
Each Wednesday, the community dinner switches locations. Oxford United Methodist Church, Faith Lutheran Church, St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church have a set week to host every month.
Oxford United Methodist Church also offers dry pantry items to dinner attendees. During the pandemic, they offered drive-through service for meals and dry pantry options but stopped this program recently.
However, the church still offers carry-out options alongside the weekly sit-down dinners. They encourage any Oxford residents who are interested to attend each Wednesday.
