Connie Walker
Pulitzer Prize and Peabody Award winner Connie Walker will give a lecture titled, “Truth Before Reconciliation,” at 5 p.m. Feb. 24 at Miami University’s Shideler Hall 152.
Connie Walker is an investigative journalist and host of the podcasts “Stolen” and “Missing & Murdered.” Her work exposed the violence in indigenous communities and the impacts of intergenerational trauma that stems from Indian Residential Schools.
The Department of Media, Journalism and Film, the Department of Global and Intercultural Studies, Western College Legacy Seminar Series, the Honors College and the Myaamia Center sponsored the event. The Diana Stark Journalism Speaker Fund financed the lecture.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
