The Oxford Community Arts Center (OCAC) will hold December’s Second Friday Celebration of the Arts at 6 p.m. Dec. 13.
The event is free and open to the public. Following the typical schedule, the event will kick off with a gallery reception at 6 p.m. in the first-floor galleries. A special exhibition features the art for Oxford’s Visual Arts Connection’s (OVAC) eighth annual calendar.
OVAC works to support artists within the community by providing them with a platform, assisting them with projects, creating opportunities and generally continuing to build the arts in Oxford.
Following the reception, a performance will take place in the ballroom at 7:30 p.m. The featured musical guests are Bobby Fisher and Michael Ronstadt. The pair will perform Christmas songs.
According to OCAC’s website, Fisher is a guitarist, recording artist and composer. He was also a guitarist for “MJ: The Musical” while it toured on Broadway. Fisher has also produced and performed on multiple albums.
Ronstadt is a cellist, guitarist and songwriter. He has worked with popular artists such as Linda Ronstadt and David Bromberg. He has worked on over 200 albums.
