Wild Ones Miami Valley is having a plant swap from 2:30 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 1 within the lobby of Oxford Lane Library, 441 S. Locust St.
Open to all ages and to those who grow native plants, the swap is specifically centered on native plant seeds and cuttings.
Wild Ones Miami Valley chapter is part of the larger national organization, Wild Ones. According to Wild Ones’ website, the vision of the organization is to see “native plants and natural landscapes thriving in every community” through the education of the public.
According to the “Trees of Ohio Field Guide” from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, some native tree species in the Oxford area include oak, maple and birch.
Contact library staff for more information about the swap.
