This week, the Oxford Police Department reported two aggravated menacing assaults, an unruly juvenile offense at a local high school and a case of endangering children.
At 11:30 p.m., Nov. 3, a victim reported a known subject threatening to shoot and kill him with a firearm. Contact was made with the suspect, and he was charged with aggravated menacing.
At 9 a.m., Nov. 1, a case of juvenile disobedience was reported. The student was disciplined for having an electronic device out during class at Talawanda High School. The student’s behavior escalated as she re- entered her classroom, and she threw a chair at a teaching assistant, almost striking them.
At 1 a.m., Oct. 31 on West High Street, a case was reported of an unknown, intoxicated male chasing another male and threatening him. This unidentified man then punched out a glass window of a door in the zero block of W. High St. This person was charged with criminal damage/endangering and menacing.
At 11: 40 a.m., Oct. 30, a police officer was dispatched to a report of two juveniles left unattended in a running motor vehicle in the parking lot of the Kroger on S Locust Street. They were able to make contact with the mother inside Kroger, and she was then charged with child endangerment.
