Miami University’s guitar and music club is set to host its Battle of the Bands from 8 to 11 p.m. Nov. 13 at The Woods, located at 17 N. Poplar St.
The event is free and open to the public. It is held once in the fall and once in the spring.
Bands formed by members of the guitar and music club will compete, taking the stage one by one to showcase their skills. Bands typically prepare two to four songs, some being originals and some being covers.
Attendees are able to vote at the end of the night for which band they want to win. The guitar and music club will also sell T-shirts for the event.
