Nov. 11, we celebrate Veterans Day, honoring the brave men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Oxford will honor those who have served our country with a ceremony in the Uptown Parks. This Veterans Day, Nov.11, Oxford Parks and Recreation is hosting its Veterans Day Ceremony at Martin Luther King Jr. Park.
This event will include a speech from Oxford’s Mayor, performances from youth and local music groups, as well as veterans in the Oxford Community. The event will include a ceremonial laying of the wreath, posting of the colors.
All are welcome to attend this event. It will take place rain or shine at 11 a.m.
The Miami Police Department extends its gratitude to current officers who are veterans: MUPD Captain James Bechtolt and MUPD K9 Officer Keith Hibbard (U.S. Navy), MUPD Officer Jacob Gray (U.S. Army), and MUPD Officer Cordell Cordrey (Ohio Air National Guard).
