Native reptiles and birds of prey will be showcased Sunday, Nov. 10 at Hueston Woods State Park Nature Center located at 6301 Park Office Road.
“Reptile Show at Hueston Woods” is scheduled for 11 a.m., and “Raptors of Ohio at Hueston Woods” will start at 3 p.m.
According to the Ohio Division of Wildlife, common reptiles in southwestern Ohio include the snapping turtle, woodland box turtle, common five-lined skink, Kirtland’s snake and eastern hog-nosed snake. For more information about reptiles of Ohio, visit their “Reptiles of Ohio field guide.”
With various birds of prey flying the skies of Ohio, highlights include two species of vultures and eagles, as well as three different species of falcons, according to the Ohio Division of Wildlife’s “Raptors of Ohio field guide.”
