The Oxford Police Department reported three assault cases this week along with at least five cases of theft and burglaries.
Assault cases involved young individuals in the evening through uptown park as well as inside Brick Street Bar.
Theft cases involved two cases of stolen items from cars in residential neighborhoods.
There was a major burglary reported at 2 a.m. on Saturday. The suspect was said to have walked into an uptown residence through an unlocked back door and caused physical harm to the resident. The 20-year-old male suspect was caught through Ring doorbell footage and transported to Butler County jail. Police arrested the suspect for burglary, underage offenses and prohibitions.
