Absentee voting is useful for voters who can’t make it to the polls. Voters must request an absentee ballot before the end of business hours on Oct. 29 and return it before Nov. 4.
Ballots can be sent in by mail or returned to the Butler County Board of Elections. New phone scams that call and advise to return a ballot anywhere but the Board of Elections are being sent out. Beware of scams like these, as they are meant to invalidate ballots.
Voters who want to mail in ballots should send them in a week before the deadline to ensure delivery before time ends.
Ballots can also be left in a drop box outside the board of elections at 1802 Princeton Road in Hamilton.
