Talawanda will host its annual homecoming weekend beginning with a parade Thursday, Sept. 19 and closing out with a dance Saturday, Sept. 21.
Thursday, Sept. 19
Talawanda School district will host its annual Homecoming parade starting around 6 p.m. on Sycamore Street.
The parade will begin on Sycamore Street and continue onto College Avenue, West High Street, North Campus and East Sycamore Street near Kramer Elementary.
Semi-trucks and trailers should begin lining up no earlier than 4:00 p.m on Sycamore Street. Talawanda band students should meet at West High and South College.
Because of the parade, the road between N. College Avenue and N. Locust Street will be closed for the evening.
Friday, Sept. 20
The Talawanda Homecoming Game will start at 7 p.m., where the team will face Dayton Carroll. In last year’s matchup, held on Sept. 15, the Talawanda Varsity Boys Football team secured a 37-21 victory over Dayton Carroll.
Tickets to the game are $8 per person and can be purchased on the Talawanda’s Box Office website.
Saturday, Sept. 21
The Homecoming Dance will begin at 7:30 p.m. The theme of the night is “Outta This World,” inspired by outer space.
Tickets are $15 per person and should be purchased through the Talawanda High School Box Office. For guest tickets to the dance, see Ms. Gingerich at the Talawanda High School main office.
