From April 29 to May 5, several cases of theft were reported to Oxford Police. On Apr. 29, a man arrived at a residence on the 200 block of S. Main St., claiming to be fixing a washing machine. He then stole several items from the residence. The suspect has not yet been identified.
On Apr. 28, Walmart management told police that a man committed two separate acts of shoplifting from Walmart.
On Apr. 30, police responded to a call of a fight. The caller reported that a male had a knife in the parking lot of the Parkview Arms Apartments. When the police arrived they found a man bleeding from his face.He told police that he had slipped and that there had been no altercation. Witnesses reported two men jumping the male before fleeing. The police are still investigating.
Police responded to a domestic violence report on Lynn Avenue on Apr. 30. The couple told police they were arguing.The man was found to have a warrant through the Butler County Sheriff’s Office and was taken to the Butler County Jail.
On May 2, someone reported a stolen car and missing individual from Acorn Circle. The stolen property and the juvenile were both recovered.
On May 2, police met with the store manager of Verizon after he discovered that someone had broken into the store on College Corner Pike and stolen several items. A second case of breaking and entering at the store was reported May 4. Officers discovered a window panel of the store had been shattered with a rock, but nothing was reported stolen. Also on May 4, a juvenile male was apprehended after breaking a window to get into the T-Mobile store on South Locust Street. He was charged with breaking and entering and vandalism.
