Two cases of rape were reported to Miami University Police Department between April 15 and April 22. The offenses took place on April 17 and April 19 and are still open. A case of menacing reported on April 20 in Marcum Hall is also open. There was a case of stalking reported on Apr. 15 that is closed.
Two cases of hazing were reported in the past week: one on Apr. 16 on a non-campus fraternity property and one on Apr. 19 on Main Street. Both cases of hazing remain open.
On Apr. 19, MUPD conducted a welfare check at Millett Hall. Marcum Hall also was the site of a welfare check on Apr. 20, as well as two calls for medical assistance. Minnich Hall had a welfare check and medical assist call on Apr. 21.
Police also took reports on 15 alarms and three alcohol violations. There were no drug violations. There were two cases of theft: one in Marcum Hall on Apr. 16, and one in Emerson Hall on Apr. 21.
The Center for Performing Arts and Peffer Park both reported property damage.
