The Butler County General Health District performed 16 inspections on food facilities in Oxford from Feb. 27 to March 5.
SDS Pizza, 7 E. Chestnut St., inspected Feb. 27, was given three critical and five non-critical violations. The critical violations were for having a buildup of black grime on a can opener blade, cooked chicken breasts in a prep cooler having no date mark and because a food worker used a lid of a cardboard box as a cutting board to slice raw chicken.
Oxford Sushi King, 37 E. High St., inspected Feb. 27, received nine critical and seven non-critical violations. Critical violations included a handwashing sink being used for purposes other than hand washing, uncovered food items in a walk-in freezer, dirty utensils, foods being held at improper temperatures and the dishwasher containing improper sanitizer.
MImian, 114 W. Walnut St., inspected Feb. 27, received six critical and four non-critical violations. Critical violations included a repeat-critical violation for a handwashing sink being used for purposes other than hand washing, improper dishwashing procedures, uncovered food items in walk-in cooler and foods not being held at proper temperature and not being properly date marked.
LaRosa’s, 21 Lynn Ave., inspected Feb. 27, received three critical and two non-critical violations. Critical violations were for food stored at improper temperature, melted food containers marked as clean and a white, grimy residue on pizza pie cake knives.
Buffalo Wild Wings, 10 E Walnut St., inspected Feb. 27, received two critical and five non-critical violations. Critical violations were for food being stored at proper temperatures and an improper health policy.
Asia Market, 5930 Fairfield St., inspected Feb. 27, received one critical and three non-critical violations. The critical violation was for having raw shell eggs stored above ready-to-eat food items in the walk-in cooler.
The Knolls of Oxford, 6727 Contreras Road, inspected Feb. 28, received one critical violation and one non-critical violation. The critical violation was for an accumulation of debris on a can opener blade.
Oxford Lanes, 4340 Reily Road, inspected Feb. 28, received two critical and one non-critical violation. The critical violations were for an accumulation of grime on the soda gun and expired ground beef stored in the cooler.
Ohana Island Grill, 30 W. Walnut St., inspected Feb. 28, received three critical and two non-critical violations. The critical violations were for the handwashing sink being used for purposes other than hand washing, keeping uncovered food containers in a dry storage area and having no date-marking on food items including cooked pork and various sauces.
Moon Co-Op, 512 S. Locust St., inspected Feb. 28, was given one critical violation and two non-critical violations. The critical violation was for having a food-contact tool that was not easily cleanable.
McCullough Hyde Hospital, 110 N Poplar St., inspected Feb. 28, received zero critical and one non-critical violation.
Left Field Tavern, 12 W. Park Place, inspected Feb. 28, received zero critical and four non-critical violations.
Kofenya, 38 W. High St., inspected Feb. 28, received zero critical and three non-critical violations.
Poplar Asian Cuisine, 20 S. Poplar St., inspected March 5, received zero critical violations and three non-critical violations.
Happy Kitchen, 32 W. High St., inspected March 5, received zero critical and one non-critical violation.
