The Oxford Community Arts Center holds its next second Friday events Feb. 9, with a celebration of the arts featuring a gallery opening and a musical performance. The event kicks off at 6 p.m. with the music performance starting at 7:30 p.m in the first floor gallery.
The works of the Miami Undergraduate Exhibition will be presented featuring Mike Wright’s “More of My Favorite Things” and Robert Mullenix’s “Twister” exhibitions.
Enjoy “Blues—Yours, Mine and Ours” with Heavy Juice Blues Band and Jimmy D. Rogers on the OCAC stage in the Brant Ballroom following the exhibition. According to a press release, the performance is a three-part “buffet of blues,” with original works from Jimmy D. Rogers, then Chicago-tinged songs from David Burk with his quartet Heavy Juice, and a final portion with both Rogers and Heavy Juice.
The event runs until 9 p.m. Friday and is free to the public.
