Between Nov. 14 and Nov. 22, the Butler County Health District inspected six restaurants, including two new establishments.
Quesadilla Express, coming to 5174 College Corner Pike, was given a pre-licensing inspection on Nov. 14. The restaurant received no violations.
Tea Cha House, located at 19 W. High St., was inspected Nov. 16. The restaurant received four non-critical repeat violations. One violation was for a gap that led to the outside from the back kitchen door. The other was for the presence of dead pests.
Garden Commons, located at 95 N. Patterson Dr., received four non-critical violations, including walls not being clean and windows needing replacement.
The Wendy’s at 5142 College Corner Pike was inspected Nov. 17 and received one critical and five non-critical violations. The inspection was initiated by a complaint the day before. The inspector resolved the complaint, writing that “all employees were washing hands when required and using gloves when required as well.” The critical violation was for food not being protected from contamination with proper packaging.
The Speedway at 260 S. Locust St. was also inspected Nov. 17, receiving seven non-critical violations. Four of these were repeat violations. Violations said the store needed repair and cleaning.
A new Penn Station at 3612 Southpointe Parkway was given a pre-licensing inspection, where it received zero violations and received a license.
