Talawanda High School’s Football team defeated Carroll on Sept. 15 with a score of 27-21. This win now makes the team’s record 1-4.
Girls volleyball suffered its first loss of the season against Harrison on Sept 14. The team played four sets with the scores of 17-25, 25-23, 25-21 and 25-2. On Sept. 12 Talawanda defeated Eaton 25-19, 25-13, 25-23 and on Sept. 16 Talawanda won against Ross 25-22, 25-27, 25-20 and 25-23.
Boys golf defended its undefeated record of 9-0 by scoring two wins this week. On Sept. 11 the team defeated Hamilton 146-181 and cut it close against Harrison on Sept. 14 but ultimately pulled through with a win of 163-164.
Cross country raced at Eaton on Sept. 16. Max Bixler finished second for the boys, and Lucia Rodbro crossed the finish in first and Adriana Luking in second for the girls.
Girls golf currently holds a record of 5-4. On Sept. 11 the team lost to Harrison 196-208 and won against Middletown 215-240 on Sept. 13.
Girls tennis lost to Lebanon 4-1 on Sept. 11 but pulled out two wins. On Sept. 12 the tennis team beat Northwest 4-1 and on Sept. 14 defeated Fairfield 3-2, giving the team a 5-9 record.
Boys soccer met some tough competition last week. On Sept. 11 CHCA defeated the team 7-2 and on Sept. 14 Harrison won the match 5-0 making Talawanda’s record 1-6.
Girls soccer lost to Harrison 9-1 on Sept. 12, giving the team a record of 9-1.
