On July 8 at 5 a.m., Oxford Police officers responded to a call from the 3700 block of Southpointe Parkway reporting a dispute in progress.
Two females, a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old, told police they were invited to the apartment of one of the suspects and were told to leave when they arrived. According to the Oxford Police Department report, both suspects chased the victims to the parking lot in front of the apartment complex.
The suspects, brothers ages 19 and 20, then went to their car and revealed two pistols. The older of the two suspects then said he was going to shoot the 17-year-old girl, who is pregnant with his child, according to the report.
Following the threat, the older male struck the younger female in the head with his pistol. According to the report, the suspects then said they were going to shoot the 18-year-old and pointed their guns at her.
The victims then said they were calling the police, which persuaded the two suspects to leave, but not before saying, “We’ll be back,” according to the police report.
According to the report, in a search of the men’s apartment, police found two Glock pistol cases, a loaded 9mm magazine and three buds of suspected marijuana along with other gun paraphernalia.
Warrants are now filed for felonious assault and domestic violence for the older man and two counts of aggravated menacing for both men, according to the Oxford Police Department.
