The Uptown Music Concert Series is holding a concert featuring music by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The concert will be from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. June 1 in Memorial Park Uptown.

Tom the Torpedoes, a Petty tribute band, is self-described as “…a professional rock and roll band following a true calling” and “…super players [that] have their own look without pretense (no wigs).” 

The free concert series will be hosted Uptown every Thursday night at 7 p.m. through Aug. 31.

The event, now on its 37th year, is sponsored by Butler Rural Electric Co-Op.
