Blood donors could win Taylor Swift tickets

The Oxford Presbyterian Church will host a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 2 at the Seminary Building located at 104 East Church St.

The Community Blood Center must register 350 donors daily to meet the demands of local hospitals. The critically low supply of O negative blood is of particular concern,, according to a press release. The organization is urging individuals to make time to donate or reschedule missed donations.

To schedule an appointment, donors can visit, call (937) 461-3220 or utilize the Donor Time app. All individuals who register to donate will receive a complimentary “Sunshine & Saving Lives” beach towel. Additionally, they will be entered into a drawing to win two tickets to the June 30 Taylor Swift concert at Cincinnati’s Paycor Stadium.

Donors must present a photo ID containing their full name and, if applicable, their CBC donor ID card. They must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent) and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds (more depending on height). The FDA periodically updates blood donor eligibility guidelines.
