Five health inspections yield violations

Since May 4, Butler County General Health District has reviewed seven Oxford establishments and found two critical violations. The businesses cited for health violations since the last edition of the Observer are as follows:

  • Wonderful International Market, 5154 College Corner Pike, inspected May 5, cited with three non-critical violations. Violations include improper cleaning/drying of mops and having floors and ceilings that are not easily cleanable.
  • Ohana Island Grill, 30 W. Walnut St., inspected May 5, cited with five non-critical violations. Violations include improper cleaning of equipment.
  • Drop In Tea, 5 S. Beech St., inspected May 5, received two critical and four non-critical violations. Critical violations include not ensuring employees are properly sanitizing equipment and utensils and having a food display that was not properly protected from contamination by consumers. A follow-up inspection was conducted.
  • College Inn & Suites, 5190 College Corner Pike, inspected May 8. There are no inspection details available for this facility.
  • TJ Maxx, 550 S. Locust St., inspected May 10. There were no violations recorded.
  • Dollar Tree, 540 S. Locust St., inspected May 10, cited with one non-critical violation, including for physical facilities not being maintained in good repair.
  • CVS Pharmacy, 123 W Spring St., inspected May 10, cited with one non-critical violation including for nonfood-contact surfaces not being easily cleanable and having chipped wood shelving.
