Miami Police respond to reports of sex offenses and theft

Miami University police responded to reported sex offenses, theft, and a traffic accident involving a pedestrian between April 4 and April 9.

One report of rape remains open with no details on location or time of incident given. Another report of rape on Beech St. was referred to a law enforcement agency. A case of gross sexual imposition was reported at Porter Hall on April 9. This incident was referred to Miami’s Office of Community Standards and is now closed.

A theft was reported at Cole Service Building on April 5. Accompanying charges included telecommunications fraud and tampering with records. The case remains open.

A traffic crash involving a pedestrian occurred on April 5 on Patterson Avenue. This case also remains open.
