Since March 6, Miami University Police have responded to reports of extortion, hazing, assault, stalking and property damage.

At 7:45 p.m. March 8, a student in Emerson Hall reported an assault by an unknown man. Miami Police released a photograph of the suspect. Officials say they responded to the incident, but the Confidential Law Enforcement Investigatory Records protects the information in the ongoing investigation.

Other open cases from March 9 include reported telecommunications fraud and extortion in Stonebridge Hall and disorderly conduct in the Art Building. The stalking case, first reported March 6, remains open.

Property damage was reported at Yager Stadium, Thomson Hall, Hepburn Hall and Shriver Center. These cases are all now closed.

The hazing incident reported on March 6 was considered unfounded.
