The Oxford NAACP Education Committee currently seeks nominations for its annual Diversity Educator of the Year award. The award will be presented Sunday, April 23 at the Armstrong Student Center. 

It is open to an employee of the Talawanda School District or McGuffey Montessori school who: promotes equality and fairness, demonstrates appreciation for diversity, exemplifies acceptance of all people and challenges others to broaden their perspectives.

The honoree receives $200 to select educational materials that promote diversity awareness, which will be shared with all staff and students in the district or school.

Letters of nomination, with relevant examples of the nominee’s activities, should be sent to Ann Wengler at [email protected] or to 4250 Nichols Road, Oxford, Ohio 45056. Nominations must be received by Friday, April 7.
