Talawanda expected to hire new football coach

Following a 1-9 finish last season, the Talawanda Board of Education has hired a new head coach for the high school’s football team, Andrew Stuckert, to replace Jay Volker.

“We are very excited to welcome Andy Stuckert as the head coach of the Talawanda High School team and we are excited about the future of the team,” said superintendent Ed Theroux.

Stuckert is a Fairfield High School graduate and spent the last three years as the coach for the New Miami Vikings. He led them to a 5-1 record and a playoff win in his first year.
