OPD reports sexual assault, domestic violence and disorderly conduct

Between Jan. 30 and Feb. 5 Oxford police responded to reports of sexual assault, domestic violence and disorderly conduct.

On Feb. 1, officers responded to a report of sexual assault against a victim under age 13 on East Rose Avenue. Officers also responded to a report of rape on the 500 block of Lincoln Street. Both incidents are still being investigated.

On Feb. 2, police were dispatched to a residence on College Corner Pike in response to a report of threats made by someone who had just left the residence. An officer located the suspect – determined to be the son of the complainant – and took him into custody for domestic violence.

Police responded to a report of a man urinating on the door of Brick Street Bar Feb. 4. The man was previously advised not to return to the establishment and was arrested for criminal trespass and underage liquor violations.
