Local labor leader calls for solidarity with train workers

Fellow workers,

AFSCME (American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees) 209, the working class people that provide clean classrooms, warm food, sanitary toilets, beautiful grounds; the working class people that keep your heaters on, your phones charged, your sidewalks and streets free of snow and ice; the working class people that keep your dorms livable and your football stadium game ready; wants it to be known that we stand in solidarity with the rail workers.

We abhor any decision by the US congress or president that would take away their right to strike.

Money equals political power but might does not equal right.

Lloyd Cameron

Secretary, AFSCME 209
