Forest canopy explorer Meg D. Lowman will discuss her work at an all-ages lecture at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 3 in 100 Laws Hall, 555 E High St. A live stream of the lecture will also be available on Hefner Museum’s Youtube channel

Lowman, who says her mantra is “no child left indoors,” is recognized as a global pioneer in forest canopy ecology. She has published eight books and more than 140 peer-reviewed publications, and says her mission is to explore, research and conserve global forests, mentor the next generation and educate diverse audiences through storytelling.

Following the lecture, there will be a reception and book signing at the Hefner Museum of Natural History in 100 Upham Hall. Lowman’s most recent book is “The Arbornaut: A life Exploring the 8th Continent in the Trees Above Us.”
