Carla Hall talks about food and fashion at Hall Auditorium

American chef and television personality Carla Hall will share her passion for the food industry at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14 at Hall Auditorium, 101 S. Campus Ave. 

The title of the talk is “Food, Fashion, and Finding Purpose Through Passion.”

As a former model turned chef, Hall worked in several restaurants around Washington, D.C. She has appeared on “Top Chef,” “The Chew” and “Worst Cooks in America.”

Hall has authored several books incorporating her interests in food, people and culture. Her bestseller was “Carla Hall’s Soul Food: Everyday and Celebration” which landed on annual “Best Cookbook” lists across the country in 2018 and an NAACP Image Awards nomination. 

Tickets will be available Wednesday, Nov. 9 starting at 8 a.m. online through Miami’s box office website. Ticketers must be seated by 7:20 p.m. or their seats may be forfeited.
