After three years, the Hike-A-Thon returns from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Oxford and Miami’s trail systems.

Sponsored by a coalition of regional conservation organizations, the local Hike-a-Thon is one of many events that are part of Green Umbrella’s Great Outdoor Weekend. The Great Outdoor Weekend is an annual outdoor events sampler to showcase the outdoor areas across the Greater Cincinnati region. 

Oxford and Miami’s Hike-A-Thon is a free event for all ages. It is an unguided hike and participants can choose between unpaved or paved paths that stretch from one to five miles.  Donations will be accepted for the Oxford Area Trail System. 

The Hike-A-Thon will begin at the parking lot of the DeWitt Cabin Trailhead, 4831 Oxford Trenton Road.
