The Butler County Board of Elections acting director and deputy director will discuss the board’s effort to ensure election integrity and voter participation during a program at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 19 in the seminary building of the Oxford Presbyterian Church, 104 E. Church St.

The event, sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Oxford, is called “Empowering Voters. Defending Democracy.” According to the league, “The right to vote is a fundamental principle of our democracy. When more Americans participate in our elections, the outcome better reflects who we are as a country.”
