A northern Ohio man indicted on multiple felony charges for the July 2021 rape of a Miami student faces at least four years behind bars, according to court records.

Zachary Frankart, 23, of Clyde, Ohio, was sentenced Aug. 22 in Butler County Common Pleas Court to a prison sentence of four-to-six years. 

Additionally, Frankart will become a Tier III sex offender for the remainder of his life, meaning he must register the address of his residence once out of prison.

Frankart offered to give the victim a ride home from an uptown bar. Oxford police responded to a call of a crying woman at 1 a.m. in the North College Avenue area. The assault occurred while both Frankart and the victim were highly intoxicated, per court records.
