Electric vehicle owners now have more opportunities to charge their vehicles with the recent installation of seven Level 2 dual port charging stations on Miami University’s campus.

The new stations can recharge an electric vehicle battery in about five to six hours. They’re located in the parking lots of Ditmer, Chestnut Fields, Millett Hall West and Marcum Conference Center.

Miami received a $105,000 grant from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency to fund the charging stations, according to Adam Sizemore, Miami’s director of sustainability. Potential users can download the ChargePoint mobile app.
