The Oxford Farmers Market will now operate uptown near Oxford Memorial Park on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Due to extreme cold weather predicted for Saturday, Jan. 8, Oxford Farmers Market is altering its hours this week from the regular 9 a.m. to noon to 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to a posting on the market’s Facebook page.

“Please plan on coming out and supporting your local farmers and vendors,”  the posting read. “We are working hard in these temps to keep you fed.”

The market operates year-round on Saturdays in the parking lot just north of Memorial Park in uptown Oxford. During May through September, it also operates from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays.

According to its website, this week it is featuring winter squash, cider, apples, carrots and many other crops grown in farmers’ hoop houses.
