Butler County performed 23 health inspections throughout March.
Tea Cha House, 19 W. High St, received the most violations with five critical and 11 non-critical violations. Butler County conducted a follow-up inspection March 11. They received five critical repeat violations following the inspection on Feb 25. According to the report, the tree log being used as a cutting board and the broken blender repaired with duct tape were cited as repeat violations. The restaurant also stored food around cleaners, medication and chemicals, another repeat violation. According to the report, Tea Cha House corrected two critical violations of food not being protected from contamination from its last inspection.
Drop In Tea, 5 S Beech St, received four critical and six non-critical violations. According to the report, the person in charge could not demonstrate knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing. They also did not ensure the employees were properly cleaning and sanitizing equipment. Drop In Tea corrected four critical violations from an inspection done Feb 12.
