Last week, police responded to reports of counterfeiting, underage drinking, disorderly conduct, and a case of operating a vehicle impaired (OVI).
On March 30, a woman entered KDS Express and bought a drink, THC product and two packs of cigarettes. After the woman left the store, the cashier noticed that the money the woman paid with was counterfeit. Police identified the woman on security cameras, but an arrest has not yet been made.
On April 2, an Uber driver called the police on two men who refused to get out of his car. When police arrived, the two men were standing in the middle of the street and visibly intoxicated. Police placed the two under arrest. In the police station, the two joked about using cocaine and Adderall that night and asked police to take a photo of them for their friends. Police cited the two with underage drinking and possession of a fake ID.
On April 3, police responded to a report of disorderly conduct and criminal mischief at United Dairy Farmers. An unknown woman went behind a group of women inside UDF, yelled and shot a confetti cannon at them. Afterwards, the woman left the scene. Pink powder got in one of the women’s eyes and mouth, and contaminated products that had to be thrown away.
In the early hours of April 5, police responded to reports of a crash on Church Street. Two men were fighting in the street when police arrived. One of the men had crashed into a parked car on the street and caused disabling damage to both cars. The driver offered a case of beer if the witnesses did not call the police on him. The driver then hit, kicked and pushed the other man after he tried to prevent him from leaving.
The driver was visibly intoxicated and handed police a fake ID. Police arrested him after he failed a field sobriety test. Afterward, police found cans of hard seltzer, weed vapes and two small bags of powder in his car and pockets. Police cited him with not having reasonable control of his car, OVI, underage drinking, possession of a fake ID and sent the powder to the lab to be tested.
