Miami University will host multiple steel drum bands for a special one-night performance, “Pan Rocks ‘25: A Tribute to Rush,” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 5 in Millett Hall.
Current and former performers from the school will come together as the joint Miami Student & Alumni Steel Band for the show, which is centered around arrangements of tracks from the rock band Rush. Also joining is guest artist Tracy Thornton, professional pannist and founder/CEO of Steel Pandemic Records.
Other players include students from several Ohio and Indiana high schools, including Talawanda, Clark Montessori, Granville, Madison, National Trail, Richmond and Walnut Hills.
Tickets are available now, with adult entrance costing $20, seniors $19 and students/youths $10.
