The Talawanda Board of Education and the League of Women Voters of Oxford will host a Talawanda community forum from 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 24 at Talawanda High School.
Talawanda community members have the opportunity to discuss Ohio budget cuts proposed by Gov. Mike DeWine and Speaker of the House Matthew Huffman and the federal government’s actions toward the Department of Education.
Matt Wyatt, Talawanda board member, welcomes students, parents, teachers and other community members to make their voices heard and encourages them to contact state legislators after the forum.
The board will have contact information for all legislators and committee members, who decide whether or not issues make it to the chamber floor.
