Miami University’s Chabad is hosting a party to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Purim 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 13.
The organization has rented Top Deck, for its celebratory event in honor of the holiday.
The Purim holiday focuses on the defeat of a plot to destroy the Jewish people in ancient Persia. The history of this event is told through the book of Esther, a Jewish girl who became queen in the Hebrew Bible.
Commemoration of the holiday will begin tonight at sundown and end the night of March 14.
