Oxford Police respond to reports of tire slashing, assault and underage drinking between Feb. 20 and Feb. 24.
On Feb. 21, Kramer Elementary’s school resource officer responded to a parent in the parking lot who noticed his tire was slashed. The man reported that the incident happened at his apartment the night before.
On Feb. 22, police responded to a worker on College Corner Pike who reported an assault. The woman stated her coworker hit her in the hand twice after she tried to turn down his radio.
Police responded to multiple reports of underage drinking and disorderly conduct. On Feb. 20, officers conducted a routine bar check at Fiesta Charra and arrested a woman who was cited for underage drinking and possession of a fake ID. Her friend chased after the officer to turn herself in, saying she should be arrested too since she was with the first woman. Officers also cited the second woman for underage drinking.
Later that night, police responded to an incoherent man in Insomnia Cookies. Oxford Fire Department took the man to the hospital after he began vomiting. Police later cited him for underage drinking, possession of a fake ID and disorderly conduct.
On Feb. 21, police responded to a woman who was reportedly walking into traffic. EMS took her to the hospital due to her intoxication level. Later, police cited her for underage drinking and disorderly conduct.
