The Oxford Police Department reported 11 cases of theft between Oct. 7-12. Two thefts occurred at local businesses including Walmart and Oxford Commons, while the others were individually reported.
Five of the 11 theft cases included break-ins of vehicles, which typically occurred at night or in the late afternoon. Stolen items from residents include a Toro push lawn mower, a bookbag and a handgun.
Two sexual assaults also occurred this week, according to the Oxford Police report. No suspects have been identified.
