Between Feb. 19 and Feb. 26, the Oxford Police Department reported 15 incidents in their media report, including an assault at a local bar, a burglary of an uptown residence and a report of an unconscious male with a firearm.
On Feb. 21 at 12:52 a.m. police responded to a reported assault at The Woods at 17 N. Poplar St. When they arrived, the complainant said they were assaulted by someone they knew. The investigation is continuing.
On Feb. 24 at 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a crash at the intersection of West Spring and South Main streets. After investigating the crash, officers determined the driver that was at fault was both intoxicated and underage. They then arrested the driver.
On Feb. 25 at 3:05 am., police responded to a report of a burglary at an uptown residence. The suspect reportedly kicked the door of the residence before making entry and being confronted by a resident. Police located the suspect two blocks away. They were charged with criminal damaging and burglary and were subsequently transported to the Butler County Jail.
