The Oxford Police Department responded to 13 incidents between Feb. 5 and Feb. 12, which included a possession of marijuana and a death, according to the department’s weekly media report.
On Feb. 5 at 5:28 p.m. a resident reported that cash was stolen from his bedroom at the 100-block of E. High St. The next day police responded to another theft reported from the 5400-block of College Corner Pike.
In the morning on Feb. 8, officers responded to the damaging of a white privacy fence on the 100 block of E Spring St. The damage and suspect was captured on camera, but the male has not been identified yet.
On Feb. 8, a victim reported to police that she had been the victim of multiple sexual assaults in the spring of 2022.
At 11:29 a.m. on Feb. 9 a victim reported an unknown person tampered with her motor vehicle at the 3700-block of Southpointe Parkway.
At 12:30 p.m., officers responded to a reported medical emergency on the 300-block of Locust St. where a resident was found deceased. Police determined that the death was likely natural causes, according to reports.
On Feb 10., responded to a headlight violation on West Spring Street and detected the smell of burnt marijuana from the vehicle, according to reports. Police searched the vehicle, where they found a burnt marijuana cigarette. The driver was cited for both a headlight violation and drug possession.
On Feb. 11 at 3:25 a.m., an unconscious underage and intoxicated man was reported on the 0-block of E. High St. He also was in possession of fictitious identification.
