Camille Wimbish, an attorney for voter rights protection, will give a talk Feb. 13 at 5:30 p.m. in McGuffey Hall room 322 as part of Miami’s Western College Legacy Seminar series. Her lecture on the current state of voting rights comes near the 60th anniversary of Freedom Summer at Western Women’s College.
Wimbish works with the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law as its director for Campaigns and Field Programs, and for the civic engagement organization Ohio Voice as the Election Administration Director, organizing election protection and the Ohio Fair Elections Network. She received her juris doctorate from The Ohio State University.
