Oxford’s Kiwanis Club will have its annual chili supper on Feb. 29. To celebrate National Chili Day, the Kiwanis will serve a full meal in the Talawanda High School cafeteria at 5 p.m. The club will serve a variety of chili styles, including vegetarian, and sides and drinks.
Tickets will be sold at the event for $8 per adult and $5 per child. Ticket sales will be put toward community programs and local organizations.
The dinner comes after Oxford shoppers donated $12,000 to the Salvation Army kettles outside Oxford’s Kroger this past holiday season. A tenth of those donations went to benefit the Salvation Army’s southwest Ohio operations, while the Oxford Family Resource Center received the remainder of the donations totaling nearly $11,000.
